Prof. Nageshwar Rao

Prof. Nageshwar Rao took over the additional charge of Director, Central Hindi Directorate, (Department of Higher Education) Ministry Of Education, on 29th September 2021. He is the Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. He was also Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) and U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Allahabad. Prof. Rao received his D.Phil from University of Allahabad and ICWA from Institute of Cost and Management Accounts of India, Kolkata. He was conferred Fellow at Commonwealth of Learning, Canada in Scotland during September, 2019. He was also conferred D.Litt. (Honorary) by K.K. Handique Open University, Guwahati, Assam in 2019.He has also written eight books popular amongst them are ‘Administration on Public Enterprises in India’ and ‘Communication Skills’.
